The Realization

Lakers are sucking it hard this year, sorry but it's true. I have come to realize that it's not the coaches. It's the players. The players are the ones messing it ALL up. No matter what the players are messing it up. Kobe even said it himself. Kobe even said that it's the lack of defense and the lack of dedication. You see then play and watch their defense. It's sad. Does Dwight Howard think that the offensive player is going to miss the lay-up/dunk? No. Get your ass in front of him and try and stop him. How is Dwight going to win a championship if he can't even play defense? That's sad. He was crying in Orlando because he wanted change. You got your damn change. You're a Laker. Just because you have Kobe on your team doesn't mean you can slack off. Get you s**t together and be apart of the team. Make your damn free throws.

Not only are the NBA teams are having trouble. Even our school is. They're doing pretty bad. Not so good. Pretty actually, really bad. They lost their key player. He messed up his hand. That right there was devastating. It's his senior year and I feel so bad for him because all he did was working his game. Trying to make it better every single second. I'm just sitting there like damn. They don't know what to do. I'm mad at myself. I'm mad because I'm not out there with my brothers. I know I may not be the factor. What I do know is that if I was there the losing would be easier on them. We would work on it together and help each other out. Ya know, because we're brothers.

All I have wanted to do since day one is be successful. That's all I have wanted. No matter what comes towards me, I want to overcome it. I know I can. I know I can overcome and bull thrown at me. Trust me, I have a lot of crap thrown at me. Not at one moment has anyone seen me break down. Never. That's not me. What I honestly do is play ball. Basketball has saved my life.

The Contemplation

I'm scared. Honestly I'm worried. I'm worried that the Lakers are not going to make it far. They are off and on. Some games they win like it's nothing. Other games they lose like they're nothing. It's sad because they have the potential to be an amazing team. They have everything they need. They have the players, the coaching, and the Black Mamba. Yeah the Black Mamba may be turning old, but he's Kobe Bryant. They dominated the Mavericks. Got dominated by the Pacers. It's sad, that they're so unreliable. As a faithful Laker fan who knows what the Lakers are capable of, it's sad. They have everything they need to be the best in the west. They have the potential to be the Miami Heat's rival. But sadly they aren't showing it. They beat the Nuggets, they owned them haha. Then they lose to the Orlando Magic. Dwight Howard's old team. They also lost to the Rockets. They have the damn potential. When the Lakers win they win by at least 20 points.

Derrick Rose is coming back early. According to an article on NBA.com. He's been sprinting at 85 percent. He is starting to cut and put a lot of pressure on it. That's amazing news. The bulls need him right now. They aren't doing to good. When Rose comes back they are going to be back. I hope they don't rush Rose. Earlier the manager rushed Michael Jordan to come back. That could've ended far worse then what the result was. Jordan just re-injured it a bit but he was back in it, in two weeks. If Rose is rushed that can end horribly. He can tear his ACL again. Umm, if that happens Rose is done for good and the Bulls are done. So please don't rush Rose. It's obvious that he is needed.

NBA season is going crazy. I don't like it. Its not going the way i want it. I want the Lakers to win and dominate. My blog is biased BOO HOO.

The Patience

How was everyone's giving? Mine? It was okay. It's always nice to sit down and eat as a family.
Well let's get started on what people are actually here for. Basketball stuff.

What is up with the Clippers? They started out amazing. They came out looking strong. They came out defeating the Lakers. Defeating the Heat. Defeating all those high caliber teams. When they played against the Lakers, they made the Lakers look like crap. The Lakers honestly looked like a crazy mob on black Friday. They didn't know what the heck they were doing. They couldn't play defense, they couldn't play offense. But as of late, the Clipper have been going downhill. They have had three straight losses. I'm not trying to start anything but maybe the Clippers were just on a lucky streak.

Did you guys see the Lakers versus Grizzles game? The one were the Lakers LOST? Well I did. I saw then get slapped around. At the end of the third quarter Pau Gasol was benched. He was benched because he wasn't doing his Job. Mike D'Antoni benched him and then talked smacked about him in an interview. Uh oh. It did get to Pau, because against the Dallas Mavericks (which I hate because of Mark Cuban.) He put on a show. He was benched in the 4th quarter as well. So was Kobe and the rest of the starters. Not because they were doing bad. They were benched because they were dominating. They dominated and got the whole fourth quarter off. That's what I like to see. So please keep it up Lakers. No more crappy games. Please.

So that's it for week. Break is over...back to school. Damn.

The Restart

Mike D’Antoni. That’s who the Lakers picked up instead of Phil Jackson. I’m not complaining but come on, instead of Phil? That was a stupid move Lakers. I understand that Phil Jackson might have been asking for too much power but the man has won so many championships there. He is the reason that the 1998-2011 era happened. He’s the reason. Yes, Kobe, and Shaq might have helped but who made the triangle offense possible? Phil Jackson did. Now, I do not doubt Mike at all. But as a Laker fan that has seen what Phil and Kobe can do I’m disappointed with the decision. Now that brings me to the other topic, Mike and Steve Nash. They can do work together. Mike was the coach of Nash when he won his MVP’s. So that right there is the reason I understand why they went with Mike. So I want to see how that goes. Hopefully he doesn’t get fired like Mike Brown did. If they do, Phil…you’re coming back. It's aggravates me knowing that Phil Jackson was willing to be coach. Phil Jackson knows all the L.A players. All of them. He knows the offense. Mike doesn't. So I want to see what happens.

In other news, Andrew Bynum…still injured. He’s prone to injury hah. He's always injured. But when he plays he plays amazing. Its unfortunate that he got traded to the 76ers. He was an amazing addition to the Lakers. But Dwight Howard? I'm sorry but I would make the same trade too. Dwight Howard was the Magic. He was carrying them. If Dwight isn't feeling the Lakers, he can leave this summer. He was only signed for one year. So if he wants to leave, he can. I always get off topic so quick ha. Back to Andrew Bynum. If Bynum didn't get injured all the time then he would be amazing. He would be the top post player out there. Not only does he get injured all the time, he doesn't know what a hair cut is. Maybe the amount of hair on his head is making him heavier and causing him to trip more...

I haven't been watching to many basketball games lately but last night i saw the Heat vs Clippers. Oh man that was beautiful. Not because it was the Clippers going against the Heat. Because the Clippers put on a show. Everyone on the Clippers was doing some work! They showed the Heat not to count them out. They were up at by 20 points at one point. That was crazy. The score was 107-100. The Miami Heat were getting aggravated because they couldn't do anything. Thank you Clippers for putting on a show. I haven't been watching games and I thank you Clippers. For putting on an amazing game for me to watch. I have missed watching, playing and loving basketball. Thank you.
Just look at this. Shake and Bake baby.

The Change

If you have been keeping up with basketball news lately, then you already know about the change to the Lakers. No more Mike Brown. If you don’t know who Mike Brown is…He was the coach for the Lakers. He just got fired. After five losses, he’s gone. Mike Brown was also fired from the Cleveland Cavaliers after LeBron couldn’t win a championship. That I understand more than this situation. He was only there for five games! Wow! That’s Bulls**t! I guess there’s a plus to this. The Lakers are trying to get Phil Jackson back. Yeah, if they get him, then the Lakers are set. Phil Jackson has been there for all of Kobe’s championship wins. Now with all these All Star Players and if they get Phil Jackson, the Lakers don’t have an excuse not to win. I hope the Lakers can get Phil Jackson back into the Organization. One Laker fan can dream right?

So what kind of music do you people listen to while playing basketball? I listen to rap. Yeah I said it. One song that pumps me up the most to play basketball is “Forever” by Drake. Well it’s because it was being used as the main song of the LeBron James Documentary. All music like that pumps me up. Give me a nasty beat and a sick verse and that pumps me up. I used to have the Beats. The Solos, if you don’t know what that is then you need to get out more. The “Beats” are mainstream headphones. They are pretty good. Put some rap and listen to them with the beats and they sound legit. The bass qualities on the headphones are amazing. Anyways, rap is what pumps me up. Some Kanye West on full blast is amazing. I also like listening to, “Successful” By Trey Songs Feat Drake. The song talks about making it big and getting what you want. They also go into details about their personal experiences. Well that’s what pumps me up for a basketball session. What pumps you up?

This year basketball has been disappointing for me. The Lakers going downhill, I can’t play basketball because of my scoliosis, and well basically s**t has been going downhill. All I can say is everyone that is playing basketball to enjoy it and try to go far. Try and achieve greatness. Prove everyone wrong. Become top dog. It sucks I missed my last opportunity to play basketball on a team. Life is unfair that is all I have to say.

The Win

So let’s face it. The Lakers are off to a bad start. They are 1-2. One win, two losses. Even if you’re not a Lakers fan you should be disappointed. People like me are saying, “They will start winning games once they start to get their offense and stuff together.” They should have won at least two games by now. They have been losing to some tough teams. But that still doesn’t make it okay to start losing all these games and saying, “We just acquired these new players and are putting in a new offense.” The Lakers lost all their preseason games. They lost two about ten in a row if I’m correct. Don’t count on what I say right there to be right though, it was a rough estimate. They are putting in a new offense but it seems like they don’t ever practice it during practice. The Lakers are my favorite team. Honestly they are. But not even I can deny that the Lakers are doing horrible. It’s not just the offense, it’s also the defense. Anyone I mean anyone can beat you guys down the court. They can honestly score every single damn time on you guys! That’s pathetic! It would be okay if they beat you down the court if you scored every time. But the Lakers honestly score 1 out of 5 possessions.  When they beat the Pistons they won by thirty.  So I hope that keeps on going and the Lakers don’t let me down. Kobe, Dwight, and Steve, come on. That’s all I would say to them if I had the opportunity to speak to them. Lakers if you want to stay top dog in LA at least show the Clippers what’s up.

What’s my favorite team on the Eastern conference? The New York Knicks. They are 3-0. Not beating some easy teams. They beat the Heat. They not only beat the Heat but they demolished them. They should them that they want to win as well. They want to be top dog as well. Carmelo Anthony, thank you for stepping it up. You needed the Olympics to show you what skill and potential you have. Once Stoudemire comes back, you guys are contenders. Wait what am I saying? You guys are ALREADY contenders.  So Melo, show the Heat they aren’t the only top dogs in the NBA.

Derrick rose. You need to come back! ASAP!  Your team needs you! I need you. I can’t even play as you in NBA 2K13. Come on! Get back on your feet and show me the explosive vertical you have. Show me the potential you have. I honestly do want to see the Chicago Bulls as NBA champions. I don’t want to see LeBron on top again. I want to see Derrick Rose. D-Rose. Honestly when you come back (he’s estimated to come back after this year, As in January.) The Chicago bulls are going to dominate. The eastern conference is the best conference out of the two. No one can deny that. But without the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose, The Miami Heat may come out to be champions again. I know I just stated that the Knicks have a shot at it too, but their just contenders. The Miami Heat can only get better as well. So this season is going to be flat out ridiculous amazing.

The Return

October 31. Every single basketball fanatic is waiting for it. It’s the date that the NBA season begins. It’s the day that the real deal begins. This is the first time in two years that basketball is starting on time. Last year it was locked out. Because of the lockout, the season didn't start till December 25, Christmas Day. This season is the most exciting one in years. To be honest, this is the most exciting season since the Michael Jordan Era. Yeah the previous two years it’s been great to watch the Eastern Conference games. But that was it. It was only eastern conference games. The western conference was trash compared to the eastern conference. But now with the addition of all these super stars on specific teams it’s going to be an all-around amazing season.

Honestly I want to see the Lakers and Heat in the NBA Finals. That would be the most exciting series of all time. Kobe, Dwight, Steve, Metta, Pau going against LeBron, Dwyane, Chris, Shane, and Mario. That series is just too amazing. Kobe can guard LeBron. Dwight can shut down Chris. Steve might be able to keep up with Dwyane. Shane is old so Pau can take him. Mario can be stopped by Metta. The person who it the biggest threat to the Lakers is Dwyane. He’s going to be so hard to stop. He’s faster, stronger, and is just all around clutch. But guess what ladies and gentlemen. We have the Black Mamba AKA Kobe Bryant. The Heat will have a hard time stopping Kobe in the Playoffs. Wait a minute. I’m already talking about playoffs and the season hasn't even started…I’m getting ahead of myself. I guess I just really want to see Kobe and LeBron go at it for a ring.

Don’t think I’m counting out the Bulls or Thunder. I really want to see the Bulls in the finals too. My home boy, Derrick Rose deserves his ring. He has worked so hard. He just had surgery on his leg. If ‘m correct it’s his ACL that he messed up on the first playoff game last year. Honestly the way he messed up is stupid. He was in the game with 2 minutes left. They were up by a very good margin. A margin that the Philadelphia 76ers couldn't have overcame. What was going through the coaches’ mind at that moment? If my All-Star Point Guard was in while we were up by Double Digits I would slap myself. But mistakes happen. He should feel stupid. If this didn't happen I honestly saw the Chicago Bulls in the finals against the Thunder.
He made a series on YouTube showing his recovery. It's amazing and everyone should check it out. Here's an episode.

Here’s the schedule for the NBA season Opener October 31.

But that’s for next week because this blog got longer than I expected and I don’t to make your minds explode with all the awesomeness in my blog…and my run on sentences. Next week’s blog will be on what kind of music I listen to while I play basketball and a recap of the games posted above. See ya next week!

The Inspriation

Personally, watching others achieve greatness. That's inspiring. Watching others achieve greatness from nothing. People think it's easy. It's far from that. People just see you play at games. They don't see behind the scenes. The suffering. The pain. The effort. Working the hardest you can. People don't see that. They don't see you waking up a 5 a.m to go to the gym. They don't see you sweat and suffer. They don't see your mind. The drive in there. They don't see how bad you want it. They only see the results. They don't know the pain you're going through. Injuries, emotional pain, disease. People don't see the inside of your body. How injured and how disease has taken over. Put yourself in someone's shoes before you judge them. Walk around in mine for example. See how hurt i am. Physically and mentally. Messed up wrists, f**ked up legs, and scoliosis. Scoliosis just ruins your body. It degrades it and it makes you feel old. It's a pain even walking. Imagine, trying to run your hardest, jumping your highest, and just trying to be the best. Imagine trying all that, while you feel like you're getting stabbed on your back. Imagine trying all that when you don't know when your legs and back will just give up on you. Well thats enough about myself. Sorry i got a little more personal than usual. I'm just mad and I vented.

On to the famous world now haha. Instead of doing preseason games this week, I'm going to do something a little bit different. I'm going to talk about the trades that happened over the offseason.
It was crazy this off season. Everyone leaving their teams they "loved." First off, Jeremy Lin. New York, what were you thinking? That trade was stupid. Jeremy Lin brought in so much money to New York. Jeremy, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudimare, and Chauncey Billups? What is wrong with you trading your point guard? This whole team needed time to learn together. He went to the Houston Rockets. Congrats Houston. Jeremy Lin, show New York what you're made of. Look at this montage.

Ray Allen, you're one smart man. Going to the Miami Heat? For less money? That's smart. That's a guaranteed championship. Sorry, but you won't get much playing time. I guess it's going to pay off. Have fun being on the bench. You get a free ring! Get another part time job though. McDonalds is hiring.

Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Welcome to the Lakers. Enough said.

The 76ers got Andrew Bynum. Tear tear tear. It's sad. I didn't want him to leave! But good luck.

I can't wait for this NBA season. October 31.

The Preseason

This week was a good week for basketball. Things are finally going to lift off. The NBA preseason has begun. NBA 2K13 came out. Kobe Bryant keeps on getting asked about retirement! This week was just good overall. I’ll start off with NBA 2K13. For people who aren’t in the basketball loop, NBA 2K13 is a video game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Now, if you don’t know what a PS3, Xbox 360 or a PC is then get off my blog right now. (Ha just kidding don’t get off.) NBA 2K13 is the newest basketball game. It’s also (according to reviewers and video game blogs) the best sports game of all time. Instead of getting into detail with it, here’s the trailer for it.

So yeah, if you’re into video games or basketball you need to pick up this game.  I picked it up and my god it’s amazing, I don’t even know how I got the chance to do the blog this week. I’ve been too addicted ha. One more thing about the game, if you pick it up just remember to tell your loved ones that you’ll be gone for a while. You won’t come out of your house for weeks.

Let’s talk about some real basketball now. The NBA preseason has begun. So let’s recap the games of October 7th 2012.
These weeks games (Oct 7-12) were pretty surprising to me.

OCTOBER 7TH
First game is between the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats. The score was 100 – 88 with the Bobcats taking the win. It’s good to see the Bobcats finally win. But this is preseason so anything can change.

Next one is Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks. This is interesting. In this meeting we have the Miami Heat LOSING to the Atlanta Hawks…I mean come on you’re the champions. Miami Heat just won the Championship this summer and you come out losing your first preseason game. Come on. But like I said, this is just the preseason so anything can change. I know I make it sound like the hawks shouldn’t have won. Well you know what who knows? Maybe the Hawks have gotten drastically better. Anyways, the score was 92-79.

The Orlando Magic and the New Orleans Hornets was a close one. The score was 85-80 with the Hornets taking the win. The games there are going to be evened out because they have no super power all stars on the team. I like games like these. Unlike the other games with the Heat going against the Lakers we have games that actually require teamwork. That’s what I personally like to see. Yeah I know its sick seeing Kobe and LeBron go at it, but that’s all we see! That’s not what basketball is about! We have to show the plays! So good job teams.

Now right here this hurts. The following game is my amazing Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors. Not by 5 points, by 10 points, but by 20. That’s just sad. But, good job Warriors.  You guys played harder and just wanted it more. This is the preseason though, so watch out Warriors.

So that’s it for October 7th games. The way I’ll be recap of the games is, I’ll pick one day out of the week and recap that day. I’ll usually pick the day with the most games.

Kobe showed up to practice and while he was there he got asked about retirement. He responded with “I don’t know we’ll have to see.” Yes Kobe has shown us that he’s getting old. He has wear and tear. The dude is just falling apart. That’s sad to see. But, during practice he shows up this.

So personally I don’t see Kobe retiring till I’m in the NBA so maybe during the 2015 season. What do you guys think?

The Contenders

Who else saw the trades over the summer? I know I did. Dwight Howard? Steve Nash? Kobe Bryant? On the same team?! That's too unreal. Yes, I'm a Laker fan. I model my game after Kobe. Some of you are probably saying,"Wow you model your game from a rapist?" I model my GAME not my PERSONALITY from Kobe. I agree most NBA players in the NBA are douchebags. But you can't deny their skill. Kobe Bryant has proved himself. He has shown he is great at what he does. He makes the Lakers superior. The Lakers have always been a contender for the championship. But now with Dwight and Steve I see them going to the top. To claim the throne, to claim the championship. Lebron James from the Miami Heat left his team in Cleveland to Join Dwayne. Also picking up Chris Bosh. If LeBron James can stack his team, why can't the Lakers? I see them going far with the new crew. People can't deny skill. People just talk to talk. Now people have to back up their facts. Haters going to hate. I can't wait for the NBA 2012-2013 season, It's going to be great.

On a side note, I balled about 20 hours this week. Learning some new moves and cross overs. Trying to make my shot right about perfect. My Scoliosis is getting bad, no big deal. Every time i shoot I have the worst back pain possible. Whatever, just a small road block to perfection.
