The Return

October 31. Every single basketball fanatic is waiting for it. It’s the date that the NBA season begins. It’s the day that the real deal begins. This is the first time in two years that basketball is starting on time. Last year it was locked out. Because of the lockout, the season didn't start till December 25, Christmas Day. This season is the most exciting one in years. To be honest, this is the most exciting season since the Michael Jordan Era. Yeah the previous two years it’s been great to watch the Eastern Conference games. But that was it. It was only eastern conference games. The western conference was trash compared to the eastern conference. But now with the addition of all these super stars on specific teams it’s going to be an all-around amazing season.

Honestly I want to see the Lakers and Heat in the NBA Finals. That would be the most exciting series of all time. Kobe, Dwight, Steve, Metta, Pau going against LeBron, Dwyane, Chris, Shane, and Mario. That series is just too amazing. Kobe can guard LeBron. Dwight can shut down Chris. Steve might be able to keep up with Dwyane. Shane is old so Pau can take him. Mario can be stopped by Metta. The person who it the biggest threat to the Lakers is Dwyane. He’s going to be so hard to stop. He’s faster, stronger, and is just all around clutch. But guess what ladies and gentlemen. We have the Black Mamba AKA Kobe Bryant. The Heat will have a hard time stopping Kobe in the Playoffs. Wait a minute. I’m already talking about playoffs and the season hasn't even started…I’m getting ahead of myself. I guess I just really want to see Kobe and LeBron go at it for a ring.

Don’t think I’m counting out the Bulls or Thunder. I really want to see the Bulls in the finals too. My home boy, Derrick Rose deserves his ring. He has worked so hard. He just had surgery on his leg. If ‘m correct it’s his ACL that he messed up on the first playoff game last year. Honestly the way he messed up is stupid. He was in the game with 2 minutes left. They were up by a very good margin. A margin that the Philadelphia 76ers couldn't have overcame. What was going through the coaches’ mind at that moment? If my All-Star Point Guard was in while we were up by Double Digits I would slap myself. But mistakes happen. He should feel stupid. If this didn't happen I honestly saw the Chicago Bulls in the finals against the Thunder.
He made a series on YouTube showing his recovery. It's amazing and everyone should check it out. Here's an episode.

But that’s for next week because this blog got longer than I expected and I don’t to make your minds explode with all the awesomeness in my blog…and my run on sentences. Next week’s blog will be on what kind of music I listen to while I play basketball and a recap of the games posted above. See ya next week!

The Inspriation

Personally, watching others achieve greatness. That's inspiring. Watching others achieve greatness from nothing. People think it's easy. It's far from that. People just see you play at games. They don't see behind the scenes. The suffering. The pain. The effort. Working the hardest you can. People don't see that. They don't see you waking up a 5 a.m to go to the gym. They don't see you sweat and suffer. They don't see your mind. The drive in there. They don't see how bad you want it. They only see the results. They don't know the pain you're going through. Injuries, emotional pain, disease. People don't see the inside of your body. How injured and how disease has taken over. Put yourself in someone's shoes before you judge them. Walk around in mine for example. See how hurt i am. Physically and mentally. Messed up wrists, f**ked up legs, and scoliosis. Scoliosis just ruins your body. It degrades it and it makes you feel old. It's a pain even walking. Imagine, trying to run your hardest, jumping your highest, and just trying to be the best. Imagine trying all that, while you feel like you're getting stabbed on your back. Imagine trying all that when you don't know when your legs and back will just give up on you. Well thats enough about myself. Sorry i got a little more personal than usual. I'm just mad and I vented.

On to the famous world now haha. Instead of doing preseason games this week, I'm going to do something a little bit different. I'm going to talk about the trades that happened over the offseason.
It was crazy this off season. Everyone leaving their teams they "loved." First off, Jeremy Lin. New York, what were you thinking? That trade was stupid. Jeremy Lin brought in so much money to New York. Jeremy, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudimare, and Chauncey Billups? What is wrong with you trading your point guard? This whole team needed time to learn together. He went to the Houston Rockets. Congrats Houston. Jeremy Lin, show New York what you're made of. Look at this montage.

Ray Allen, you're one smart man. Going to the Miami Heat? For less money? That's smart. That's a guaranteed championship. Sorry, but you won't get much playing time. I guess it's going to pay off. Have fun being on the bench. You get a free ring! Get another part time job though. McDonalds is hiring.

Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Welcome to the Lakers. Enough said.

The 76ers got Andrew Bynum. Tear tear tear. It's sad. I didn't want him to leave! But good luck.

I can't wait for this NBA season. October 31.

The Preseason

This week was a good week for basketball. Things are finally going to lift off. The NBA preseason has begun. NBA 2K13 came out. Kobe Bryant keeps on getting asked about retirement! This week was just good overall. I’ll start off with NBA 2K13. For people who aren’t in the basketball loop, NBA 2K13 is a video game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Now, if you don’t know what a PS3, Xbox 360 or a PC is then get off my blog right now. (Ha just kidding don’t get off.) NBA 2K13 is the newest basketball game. It’s also (according to reviewers and video game blogs) the best sports game of all time. Instead of getting into detail with it, here’s the trailer for it.

So yeah, if you’re into video games or basketball you need to pick up this game.  I picked it up and my god it’s amazing, I don’t even know how I got the chance to do the blog this week. I’ve been too addicted ha. One more thing about the game, if you pick it up just remember to tell your loved ones that you’ll be gone for a while. You won’t come out of your house for weeks.

Let’s talk about some real basketball now. The NBA preseason has begun. So let’s recap the games of October 7th 2012.
These weeks games (Oct 7-12) were pretty surprising to me.

OCTOBER 7TH
First game is between the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats. The score was 100 – 88 with the Bobcats taking the win. It’s good to see the Bobcats finally win. But this is preseason so anything can change.

Next one is Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks. This is interesting. In this meeting we have the Miami Heat LOSING to the Atlanta Hawks…I mean come on you’re the champions. Miami Heat just won the Championship this summer and you come out losing your first preseason game. Come on. But like I said, this is just the preseason so anything can change. I know I make it sound like the hawks shouldn’t have won. Well you know what who knows? Maybe the Hawks have gotten drastically better. Anyways, the score was 92-79.

The Orlando Magic and the New Orleans Hornets was a close one. The score was 85-80 with the Hornets taking the win. The games there are going to be evened out because they have no super power all stars on the team. I like games like these. Unlike the other games with the Heat going against the Lakers we have games that actually require teamwork. That’s what I personally like to see. Yeah I know its sick seeing Kobe and LeBron go at it, but that’s all we see! That’s not what basketball is about! We have to show the plays! So good job teams.

Now right here this hurts. The following game is my amazing Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors. Not by 5 points, by 10 points, but by 20. That’s just sad. But, good job Warriors.  You guys played harder and just wanted it more. This is the preseason though, so watch out Warriors.

So that’s it for October 7th games. The way I’ll be recap of the games is, I’ll pick one day out of the week and recap that day. I’ll usually pick the day with the most games.

Kobe showed up to practice and while he was there he got asked about retirement. He responded with “I don’t know we’ll have to see.” Yes Kobe has shown us that he’s getting old. He has wear and tear. The dude is just falling apart. That’s sad to see. But, during practice he shows up this.

So personally I don’t see Kobe retiring till I’m in the NBA so maybe during the 2015 season. What do you guys think?

The Contenders

Who else saw the trades over the summer? I know I did. Dwight Howard? Steve Nash? Kobe Bryant? On the same team?! That's too unreal. Yes, I'm a Laker fan. I model my game after Kobe. Some of you are probably saying,"Wow you model your game from a rapist?" I model my GAME not my PERSONALITY from Kobe. I agree most NBA players in the NBA are douchebags. But you can't deny their skill. Kobe Bryant has proved himself. He has shown he is great at what he does. He makes the Lakers superior. The Lakers have always been a contender for the championship. But now with Dwight and Steve I see them going to the top. To claim the throne, to claim the championship. Lebron James from the Miami Heat left his team in Cleveland to Join Dwayne. Also picking up Chris Bosh. If LeBron James can stack his team, why can't the Lakers? I see them going far with the new crew. People can't deny skill. People just talk to talk. Now people have to back up their facts. Haters going to hate. I can't wait for the NBA 2012-2013 season, It's going to be great.

On a side note, I balled about 20 hours this week. Learning some new moves and cross overs. Trying to make my shot right about perfect. My Scoliosis is getting bad, no big deal. Every time i shoot I have the worst back pain possible. Whatever, just a small road block to perfection.
